What is of interest is that I have a download of his signed Imperial Service Obligation (Form E.624) countersigned by ??? Gray 'Lt. Colonel, Commanding The Overseas Battalions, (1/26 London Regiment)' It's dated 23 February 1916. I'm assuming therefore that my man was HAC, unless you know of another 26th Btn?
